    The Gloria in Excelsis

Glory to God in the highest,

and peace to his people on earth.

Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and Father,

we worship you, we give you thanks, we praise you for your glory.

Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world: have mercy on us; you are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our prayer.

For you alone are the Holy One,

you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit,

in the glory of God the Father.

    Amen.

    The Prayer of Thanksgiving

Almighty God, we thank you for feeding us with the holy food of the Body and Blood of your Son, and for uniting us through him in the fellowship of your Holy Spirit. We thank you for raising us up to share in the heavenly life of your kingdom. And now, send us out to do the work you have given us to do, to love and serve you as faithful witnesses of Christ our Lord. To him, to you, and to the Holy Spirit, be honour and glory, now and for ever. Amen

    The General Confession

Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from your ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against your holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; And we have done those things which we ought not to have done; And there is no health in us. But you, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare those who confess their faults. Restore those who are penitent, according to your promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake, That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life, to the glory of your holy Name. Amen.

    The Prayer of Humble Access

We do not presume to come to this thy Table, O merciful Lord, trusting in our own righteousness, but in thy manifold and great mercies. We are not worthy so much as to gather up the crumbs under thy Table. But thou art the same Lord whose property is always to have mercy. Grant us therefore, gracious Lord, so to eat the flesh of thy dear Son Jesus Christ, and to drink his blood, that we may evermore dwell in him, and he in us. Amen

    The Collect for Grace

O Lord, our heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God, you have brought us safely to this new day: Preserve us with your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, nor be overcome by adversity; and in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

    A Collect for Peace

O God, the author of peace and lover of concord, to know you is eternal life and to serve you is perfect freedom: Defend us, your humble servants, in all assaults of our enemies; that we, surely trusting in your defense, may not fear the power of any adversaries; through the might of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

    The Collect for Purity

Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hidden: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy Name; through Christ our Lord. Amen

    The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
    Hallowed be thy Name,

    Thy kingdom come,
    Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
    And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
    But deliver us from evil.
    For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
    for ever and ever. Amen.

    Prayer for Provincial Sunday

Almighty and Everlasting God, source of all wisdom, peace, and grace, look mercifully upon Your Church throughout this Province. Bind us together in the unity of the Spirit and in the bond of peace. Remove from

us all pride, division, and hardness of heart, that we may serve You with humility, compassion, and steadfast love. Grant that our words and deeds may reflect the light of Christ, and that our shared ministry may strengthen the weak, comfort the weary, and bring hope to all who seek Your saving presence. Unite us in purpose, guide us in truth, and empower us for faithful service, so that in all things Your holy name may

be glorified. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

    A General Confession

Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ,

have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

    The Lord is My Shepherd

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:

thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

    Hannah’s Prayer of Thanksgiving

My heart rejoiceth in the Lord,

mine horn is exalted in the Lord:

    my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies;

because I rejoice in thy salvation.

There is none holy as the Lord:

for there is none beside thee:

neither is there any rock like our God.
